癌症乃是國內外造成死亡原因的首位。目前以外科切除及傳統化療對許多惡性腫瘤仍無法有效治愈,因此對於癌症之分子機制研究及治療惡性腫瘤之藥物研發仍占醫學研究論文發表之首位。引發腫瘤之分子機制包括: (1).oncogenic signals造成許多抗腫瘤蛋白質表現減弱;(2).在缺氧環境引起腫瘤蛋白質之活性增加;(3).粒線體基因突變造成粒線體功能失常;(4).EGF receptor over-expression或是receptor tyrosine kinase domain 之基因突變,導致EGF receptor過度活化 ; (5).腫瘤細胞代謝激酶之基因突變等等。本研究室目前進行之主要研究,乃以高度惡性腫瘤細胞株為研究材料,以microarrays、分子生物學、及分子影像醫學相關之細胞生物技術,研究癌細胞增生之分子機轉,並研發對抗惡性腫瘤細胞增生之藥物,另外也將進行抗腫瘤藥物對抗腫瘤生長之動物模式研究。
(a)對於碩士班畢業資格,並無特別要求。
(b)博士班學生則希望在3~4年當中,有一篇較完整之論文發表 (在該領域 <15%),及另外一篇較簡短之論文 (在該領域 <50%)即可。
非常歡迎對上述研究主題有興趣,又具有行動力之研究生加入本研究室。
